Common eiders (Somateria mollissima) are the largest ducks in the Northern Hemisphere. The ocean is their habitat, and these common eiders were filmed from the shore at Breezy Point, Queens, on January 12, 2019. There are both males and females seen here, with two males in breeding plumage. These are diving ducks, their diet aquatic invertebrates.
